A. CITIZEN VOL.04 continues our exploration of the voices shaping the creative landscape. In this edition, we sit down with a multi-hyphenate creator, storyteller, and DJ whose relentless work ethic anchors a fluid, ever-evolving creative output.
Whether spinning a set, writing tracks, or curation, Wesley Jamison’s work celebrates the power of raw dedication.
This intimate dialogue explores how he channels daily observations into compelling narratives to redefine what it means to be a "hustler" in the modern world—an open-ended look at the intentional choices that define a unique creative path.
Tell us about yourself—how do you define what you do?
"I'm a hustler. I do a lot of things—I’m a creator, I'm a storyteller, I write songs, and I'm a DJ. But the common denominator across all of these different mediums is that I work hard, very hard. No matter the project, that drive is what connects everything together."
Complete the sentence: “I am A. ____.”

How do you express your individuality through details, whether in your work or your personal style?
"I do like to dress nicely, but for me, it’s not really about the actual fit—it’s all in the details. I'm big on accessories. I've got my rings, and I’m especially big on turquoise pieces. I'm also majorly into hats; I have a massive collection, so shout out to Walk in Paris on that one. And of course, the glasses as well. The small accents are where the personal expression happens."
How much do you value customization and individuality, and how do you incorporate that into your daily life?
"I value customization and individuality a lot, but I can’t say it's something I consciously think about often. I just strive to be myself. By focusing on just being myself—wearing the rings, choosing the little details—I manage to not look like everybody else. I don’t really try for it or force it; I just instinctively pick what I like."
Where and how do you get inspiration in life?
"I get my inspiration from everyday life and the people right around me. I observe a lot, and I listen to people a lot—not in a creepy way, just naturally paying attention. I love to hear stories from my friends, and then I like to tell them as well. My creative catalyst is mostly just the life happening around me, whether it happens to me firsthand or to the people in my circle."
